This beginner-level workshop is directed to the student interested in the initial steps to post-processing your photographs while working with Photoshop and Lightroom.
Highlights:
Importing and organizing: Import your photos. Create a logical file naming and folder structure to organize your images efficiently.
Sorting and selecting: Review your images and select the ones you want to work on. What to look for when selecting an image, composition, and exposure.
Editing process: Learn Murray’s post-processing workflow through Camera Raw Filter. Adjusting white balance, highlights, shadows, clarity, and more.
Enhancing color: Adjust image color through vibrance, saturation, contrast, clarity, and dehaze.
Creative effects: Explore creative vignetting, blurring techniques, and more through a remarkable palette of creative and technical solutions that Nik Collection and Luminar AI have to offer.
Cropping and composing: Focus on cropping to create a well-balanced composition. Understand the basics of the ‘rule of thirds’.
Sharpening, noise reduction: Learn the basics behind appropriate sharping, isolation sharpening, and noise reduction.
Saving and exporting: How to save your edited images in JPG, TIFF, or PS files.

Prerequisite: Students must have the latest version of Photoshop and or Lightroom loaded on their laptops and bring them to class along with a collection of images that they would like to work on.
